ABOUT AUTHOR LULU BUCK
Lulu Buck has been a public educator for twenty-five years and award-winning, children’s book author.
Previously, Lulu held the position of English Language Development and World Language Senior Consultant at the Colorado Department of Education.
Lulu's teaching journey spans a decade, during which she passionately taught English and Spanish in public secondary schools.
She served as a state trainer for cultural responsiveness, impacting thirty-eight Colorado school districts.
Her debut book, “Sue's Sky”

EVENTS
Student Author Visits
Lulu visits the school and does a reading with the students.Please specify which book of Lulu's collection, as each book has its own unique program.
Student Workshop
Lulu visits the school to read the book and take students through a series of activities. Workshops can be customized to the school’s needs and outcomes.
Teacher Workshops
60-90 minute teacher workshops can be scheduled to better implement the book or books. Teachers will experience all lessons that cover the themes of safe spaces, bias, bullying, identity, community, and teamwork for "Sue's Sky."
Family Night
A reading of the book and activity-filled family nights provide a unique, hands-on experience for kids and parents. While kids paint and do activities, parents will be provided an overview of the lessons to reinforce messages at home.
Customized Training, Workshops, and Classes
Lulu is an experienced trainer in delivering training around various topics. Leadership painting sessions with “Sue’s Sky” have been delivered to various groups. Customized goals for districts and schools are available after a consultation meeting.
